Terms of Use for Clear Year

Last updated: April 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Clear Year mobile application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.

1. Purpose of the App

Clear Year is a personal wellness and habit-tracking tool. It helps you track alcohol-free days, reflect in a journal, and celebrate milestones. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek professional help for health or substance-use concerns.

2. Your Responsibilities

3. Local Storage Mode

In the current version, core App data is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device if you want to preserve data across installs or device changes.

4. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, and its content (excluding your own entries) are owned by Clear Year and its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute the App except as permitted by law.

5. Third-Party Services

The App may use third-party services such as Unsplash (optional image search) and Firebase (support message delivery). Your use of those features is also subject to their respective terms and policies.

6. Disclaimer

The App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clear Year shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
